Rental & Cancellation policies

Reservations:
Usually a 50% deposit is required to hold a reservation (in Pesos at the exchange rate on https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/). Payments may be made by PayPal or wire transfer. All fees are charged to the client. The balance is due at arrival date in cash in Pesos at the exchange rate on https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ as of arrival day. All fees will be charged to client.

For reservations for Christmas, New Year’s and Semana Santa, 100% of the full rental amount is due 120 days prior to reservation date. Failure to pay deposit or reservation balances on time could result in loss of reservation without any reimbursement of the deposit. The deposit for Xmas, New Year and Easter holidays must be 50 percent.

Cancellations:
Cancellations more than 90 days before the beginning of your reservations will result in a 100% refund of the money we received (less Western Union / paypal fee). Cancellations within 90 days to 60 days of your reservation will receive a 50% refund, cancellations within 60 days of your reservation will not receive refund unless we can refill your reservation (a partial refund may occur based on partial occupancy) (all refunds are less Western Union / paypal fee). Christmas, New Years and Easter rentals are not refundable at all unless we can refill your reservation.

No show: Full rental amount is due at arrival date as shown on reservation email received through Blue Horizon and will be charged to the client.

Blue Horizon has the right to cancel any reservation with full reimbursement to the client. In this case the client has to provide his banking details and will receive full reimbursement (less Western Union or paypal fee). Once a cancellation is sent by email it is considered effective. Blue Horizon is not responsible for cancellations by the homeowner, in this case we will help you to find an alternative accommodation.

By sending full or partial deposit the client accepts the policies of this website and confirms the rental agreement.

Damage deposit:
A damage deposit of $400 US to 800 US$ (depending on property) must be paid in cash upon arrival. It will be returned upon completion of the rental provided there has been no damage to real or personal property and that all the conditions of this agreement have been met. Deductions from the deposit shall be made for any damage done to the property or its contents, normal wear and tear excepted. Every lost key is charged with 200 Pesos.

Check-in / Check-out:
Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. and before 7 p.m.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m but not before 8 a.m.
Check-ins or check-outs after or before official hours have to be confirmed with the agency and will be charged with 300 Pesos for each started hour.
Waiting time within official hours for confirmed check-ins or check-outs will be charged with 200 Pesos per every started hour.

Property Availability Policy:
In the event that a property is unavailable due to damage from hurricane, flood, fire, due to repairs not being completed on time, the owners and Blue Horizon shall not be responsible. They will make every effort to finish repairs as fast as possible. In case the repairs can not be finished, they will make every effort to move guests to comparable accommodations at the original rate.

Other conditions:
All places are non-smoking. Guests are asked to smoke outside or on the roof-top deck only.
No pets are allowed at any time.
1 month = 30 days.
All rentals require a rental agreement including mailing address and telephone number. At least one person in the rental party must be over the age of 25.
Neither the owner nor its representatives will be held responsible for injury, loss, or damage to any person or property of persons occupying the rental property.
Until confirmed, rates and policies are subject to changes without notice.
Some houses do have different policies as the ones mentioned above: you will be informed before booking.
Blue Horizon is not responsible for any loss or damage of your belongings.
